Hoosier Eric Gordon Leaves Game With Injury, DJ White Scores Career High

Hoosiers' star Freshman Eric Gordon left Indiana's game last night with Tennessee State early, citing continued pain from his back which resulted from a fall earlier in the game. It sounds likely, though, that the injury will not impact Gordon in future games. Indiana Coach Kelvin Sampson had the following to say when questioned by the AP:

"He'll be fine," Sampson said. "Even if he could have played, I wouldn't have brought him back in. He's been playing a lot of minutes. ... We'll get him back."
Gordon had played all 40 in the past two games.

Indiana didn't miss Gordon too much last night, though, thanks to a big game from Senior DJ White. White scored a career high 29 points to go along with 13 rebounds, leading the Hoosiers to a 12-point win.

The Badgers will first play Indiana on January 31, when the Hoosiers travel to Madison.
